Shubham Aggarwal

During my early days, obtaining favourable positions proved challenging due to my non-permanent resident status, leading me to work only half a day for a meagre $50. Presently, I strive to assist fellow students in achieving success and contribute to the community in various ways.

I migrated to Australia from India in February 2006 to pursue a Master’s in Accounting and gain international exposure. My advice for fellow migrants and international students is to carefully choose options, learn about the country and goals, and utilise community networks.

Despite initial challenges, I’ve grown more independent since moving, overcoming job struggles and now working in education and migration, assisting students in achieving their goals. Though times have changed, my values and relationships remain constant. I’ve built a new community, staying connected with home. While technology has made communication easier, I miss my childhood friends and hometown streets.

I believe supporting migrants is crucial, inspiring me to open an immigration agency focused on guiding local students. Supporting community events and those in need is vital for collective progress. I think migrants can be supported by everyone giving back a bit. Me and my team work on the goal to help local students get some real guidance.

Since moving, I’ve acquired new skills, including self-independence, confidence, and social skills, becoming a migration agent. Despite being in the same field, I maintain healthy relationships with initial peers and bosses. I believe community growth happens when we help each other without division based on any criteria.

My significant achievements include establishing Aggarwal Immigration, a leading migration business aiding migrants in education. I’m proud to be a community player, supporting people. Living with my family in Australia, including my brother, Sadhav, and mother, Anjna, has been fulfilling.
